Workshops for secondary schools offer dynamic and case study focused explorations of the causes, effects and solutions to the climate and biodiversity crisis, helping pupils deepen their understanding and make informed decisions to create a cleaner, greener, healthier world.
Secondary subjects covered include: renewable energy, recycling, reducing consumption and cutting down on waste, single use plastics, sustainable food production, nutrition, sustainable travel and active citizenship.
Each topic highlights the challenges faced at the same time as presenting inspiring solutions to create a more sustainable future. Workshops are available as half day or full day.

Small steps can add up to big changes. So let’s all learn to reduce our ecological footprint by encouraging reuse and recycling of everyday materials to help maximise our earth’s precious resources.

We explore how the Low Carbon Trust’s Earthship building contributes to mitigating climate change by embracing sustainable design principles and reducing environmental impact.

Investigating the power we all have to make small changes to support a healthier planet, pupils transform an everyday item into a durable new object they can use.

As a class we discover how far food travels by tracing the journeys of different varieties of fruit and vegetables.

With the world’s population growing rapidly, total food consumption is also rising too. This workshop explores how we can feed an increasing population through innovations in food production on land, at sea and in our cities.

The technological revolution has changed how we live and communicate, but at the same time has created new challenges environmentally.

Our interactive presentation visits the earth’s oceans and rainforests where we learn about the unique plants and animals found there.
